Your Tech Neighbour takes reasonable care when providing technology services. However, working with computers, devices, software, data, networks, and online services can involve risks that cannot always be predicted or controlled. This document explains some of those risks and does not remove or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Data and Backups
We take reasonable care when working with customer data and can help customers create, check, or improve backups where appropriate. However, backups can fail or become incomplete or inaccessible, and we cannot guarantee that a backup will prevent every form of data loss.
2. Hardware and Software
Older, damaged, defective, or failing equipment may develop additional problems during or after service. Software, operating systems, updates, and applications can also behave unexpectedly or develop problems unrelated to the work performed. Where we identify a significant risk, we will explain it to the customer where reasonably possible.
3. Customer Instructions and Decisions
We rely on customers to provide accurate information and to tell us about known problems or concerns that may affect the requested service. If we identify a significant risk, we will explain it and, where appropriate, recommend an alternative before proceeding.
We are not responsible for problems resulting from inaccurate information, unauthorized instructions, or a customer’s decision to proceed against our recommendation, except where we are legally responsible.
4. Reasonable Limitation of Liability
Your Tech Neighbour takes reasonable care when providing services and is responsible for losses where we are legally responsible. However, we cannot be responsible for problems arising from risks outside our reasonable control or described in this document.
Nothing in this document limits liability or consumer rights where the law does not permit that limitation.

If you have questions about the risks associated with a service, please ask. We will make reasonable efforts to explain important risks in clear, understandable language.
